Abstract

Background and aim: Standard chemotherapy for AML is daunorubicin combined with cytarabine. However, due to the potent myelosuppressive agents, patients receiving these drugs should be under close medical supervision. The location of the study which combined solid tumour and haematology patients, also created risk of infections for AML patients. This study aims to evaluate the survival outcomes of AML patients treated with modified chemotherapy regimens at Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital, Makassar.
