Objective: Fever is the one of the most common reasons for medical consultations worldwide and generally occurs in response to inflammation, trauma and infection. Poor knowledge and misbelief regarding fever generally leads to overtreatment and increased medical consultations. It has been reported that, people are using antipyretics unnecessarily or more often than recommended. The present study was aimed to investigate the awareness, prevalence of symptoms and management of fever in patients attending the primary care hospital.
