A reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) utilizing a Waters Symmetry column (150 x 3.9mm, 5µm) emerged as a reliable and straightforward approach for accurately estimating and validating Lumefantrine assay. Lumefantrine, which exhibits maximum absorbance at 380 nm, interacts with hemin generated during hemoglobin breakdown, thereby impeding detoxification to crystalline malaria pigment.
