The present study deals with the statistical analysis of growth and instability in production, sown area, and yield of pearl millet in some specific states of India. The assessment is carried out using compound growth rate (CGR) and Cuddy-Della Valle (CDV) instability index for the time series data pertaining to the period 2007-2021. Furthermore, statistical coefficients viz. coefficient of variation (CV) and coefficient of determination (R2) have been evaluated for pearl millet production, area and yield in the concerned states. The values of R2 have been obtained on fitting linear models to the respective time series data for pearl millet in the concerned states.
