Abstract

Ayurvedic ancient texts have covered the eye and its problems since the Vedic and Samhita eras, highlighting the importance of the eye and providing advice on how to care for it.Eye care has thus always been of utmost importance. Suskaksipaka in Ayurveda is usually seen with clinical signs of Dry eye. Dry eyelids are sometimes compared to shushkakshipaka. But a deeper look at the dry eye symptoms shows two Ayurvedic terminology that are intimately connected to the condition.
