The avocado (Persea americana), is well known for its distinct biochemical makeup and wide range of health advantages. With an emphasis on the avocado's lipid profile, carbohydrate content, protein composition, vitamin and mineral richness, and presence of bioactive phytochemicals, this article attempts to give a thorough summary of the avocado's biochemistry.
