Background: Dental implants are a critical advancement in dental restoration, offering numerous benefits over traditional prosthetics. However, awareness and acceptance of dental implants can vary significantly between different populations. The objective of the study was to evaluate the level of awareness and acceptance of dental implants among urban and rural populations in Tamil Nadu, India. Methods: This cross-sectional study surveyed a diverse sample of individuals from both urban and rural areas in Tamil Nadu. Participants were selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that assessed demographic information, awareness of dental implants, sources of information, perceived benefits, concerns, and willingness to undergo implant treatment.
