Abstract
Introduction: condition that affects the tissues supporting teeth, periodontitis is inflammatory and distinguished by a microbial challenge that triggers the human immune system, which leads to inflammation, the development of periodontal pockets and the final disintegration of the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone.
