Comparative Evaluation of Microhardness of Cention-N, Giomer, Zirconomer- An Invitro Study

Abstract

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate and compare the microhardness of three restorative materials: Cention N, Giomer and Zirconomer. Materials and Methods: Depending on the type of restorative material used,a total of thirty samples were made for the microhardness evaluation and divided into three groups of ten samples each: Cention N, Giomer and Zirconomer groups. For this study, the samples were made using a specifically designed Teflon moulds that measured 4mm in thickness and 6mm in diameter.For a period of 24 hours, each sample was stored in distilled water. The microhardness of each tested material was assessed using Vickers Microhardness test. Post Hoc Test and ANOVA were used in the statistical analysis. (0.05 as the p value)
