Introduction: Critically ill patients present complex challenges that require robust prognostic tools to guide clinical decisions and improve outcomes. The Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score and the Clinical Frailty Score (CFS) are two widely used tools in intensive care units (ICUs). While the SOFA score assesses organ dysfunction across six systems, the CFS evaluates overall frailty, encompassing physical and cognitive decline. This study aims to compare the predictive accuracy of these scores and explore their potential combined use. Objectives: To compare the predictive accuracy of the SOFA score and the CFS in determining mortality among critically ill patients. To analyze the efficacy of these scores in predicting other critical outcomes, such as the length of ICU stay and discharge status. To explore the potential benefits of using a combined approach of SOFA and CFS scores in clinical practice. To evaluate the correlation between SOFA and CFS scores.
