Topical drug delivery systems provide an efficient means of treating localized fungal infections by enhancing therapeutic efficacy while minimizing systemic side effects. This study aimed to design, develop, and evaluate a bigel-based formulation for the topical delivery of amphotericin-B and ketoconazole, two potent antifungal agents. Bigel, which combine the properties of hydrogels and organogels, offer a unique matrix for improving drug stability, release profiles, and skin permeation.
