This article addresses the integration of environmental and social aspects into the development process of sustainable business concepts for new business start-ups. It explores how one can develop business models with a balanced profitability of business organizations together with positive environmental and social impacts. It is based on a broad literature review and an analysis of existing benchmarks. The research uses a qualitative approach, drawing on a selection of academic documents, industry reports, and case studies on successful sustainable startups. Results include innovative strategies in merging sustainability principles into a business idea, importance of stakeholder participation, and the identification of obstacles that may lie in the path of implementing sustainability practices within a new project. It also puts forward the solution for these. Accordingly, this paper discusses the emerging trends in sustainable business and provides recommendations to the entrepreneurs, investors, and decision makers to develop a sustainable business concept to respond to global challenges.
