The purpose of the study was to determine the effects of a hot aqueous extract derived from Athel tree T. aphylla leaves on the biological performance of three insect species: the beetle, saw beetle, and red rusty flour beetle in a laboratory setting. These insects are serious pests that are regularly found in major storage areas around the world. The purpose of the study was to develop alternative strategies to limit the use of chemicals that can harm human health.
