Abstract

This paper investigates the implementation of a Five-Level Multilevel Inverter (MLI) based Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) for enhancing power quality in distribution networks. The proposed STATCOM configuration employs advanced control strategies to efficiently manage reactive power flow, thereby stabilizing voltage levels and minimizing power quality issues such as voltage sags, swells, and harmonic distortions.
