Abstract

This study seeks to establish how Computer Science has impacted on delivery of patient care by using the conceptual framework that looks at the application of IT in managing the healthcare systems. The study explores the implementation of four key algorithms: Expert opinions that include; AI based diagnostics, Blockchain in data management, Use of digital twins and Machine learning in the development of bespoke treatment plans. The results of the study further show that diagnostic models based on AI resulted to enhanced diagnostic precision since they were 92% accurate. Through the adoption of blockchain technology, the security of data was increased by 85%, digital twins on the other hand improved healthcare processes; the operation costs decreased by 15%. Using machine learning patient prognosis was improved and the patient satisfaction rates were raised by 30%. The paper also discusses the issues arising from the use of these technologies and these include the following; digital literacy in healthcare professionals, and the issues of ethics. Nevertheless, the study agrees that the application of computer science innovations in healthcare management will improve efficiency, security, and patient satisfaction. The further studies need to be orientated to the decreasing of adoption and usage barriers and to utilize the potential of these technologies in routine healthcare to the greatest extent.
