Microbial biosurfactants exhibit various beneficial properties, including antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory activities. Several studies have reported the efficacy of biosurfactants in increasing the immune responses and disease resistance of fish. Among various microbial surfactants, lipopeptides, glycolipids, and phospholipids are predominantly investigated. The present study aims at extracting and characterizing the biosurfactants derived from Bacillus spp. as a potential immunostimulant in the diet of red hybrid tilapia fish (Oreochromis spp.).
