Background: Speech and language therapists are one of the most important pillar in the rehabilitation world. So, this research aimed to find out the facilities which were provided to SLTs and the workload under which the SLTs were working in Government special education institutions of Punjab. Objective: To identify the facilities provided to speech and language therapist and workload inGovernment special education institutions of Punjab. Methodology: A sample of 112 SLTs were taken to find out the facilities and workload of SLTs working in special education institutions of Punjab. Cross sectional survey was done by using the convenient sampling technique. For this purpose, a questionnaire was developed with the help of literature and experts’ opinion and then administered on SLTs to collect required data. Results: Result of statistical mean and percentage indicated that total participants were 112 minimum experience was 3 years and maximum was 10 years. 69.6% Speech therapists respond that time for one to one session was not enough,70.6 % responded that their institutes were not providing facilities according to the child’s need. 89.3 % speech therapist respond that speech therapy room is necessary for speech sessions. 68.8% respondents respond that their institutes were failed to provide facilities according to the child’s need. Mostly speech therapists respond that they are overloaded by caseload other duties which were affecting the results. Conclusion: It was concluded from the study that speech therapists were overloaded with caseload and workload. Institutes were not providing facilities according to the needs of child. Extra duties were affecting the results and efficiency of the speech therapists.
