Abstract

The extraction, measurement, formulation, and assessment of pellets containing Anastatica hierochuntica extract made using the extrusion-spheronization process are the main objectives of this work. In order to maximize the production of bioactive compounds, the extraction conditions were improved. Then, the active ingredients were estimated using HPTLC, a dependable and reproducible analytical approach, and quantified. The typical approach for formulating an extract of the medicine into pellet form was the extrusion-spheronization method, which produced homogeneous, spherical pellets that were easy to administer orally. The goal of optimization was to get the best possible medication release and disintegration times. The produced pellets were assessed morphologically, as well as for the majority of the physical and chemical stability qualities, size distribution, friability, and dissolving behavior, as well as for the possibility of controlled release of the active medication. The formulation's stability was guaranteed by the optimized pellets, which displayed desired qualities and no discernible interaction between the Anastatica hierochuntica extract and excipients. This study therefore describes the creation and assessment of extract pellets from Anastatica hierochuntica, which surface as a naturally occurring, advantageous treatment in the form of an oral controlled dose form.
