Abstract
The experiments were conducted during the Kharif season of 2021–2022 to 2022 – 2023 at Department of Botany, Jamal Mohamed College (A), Triuchirappalli, Tamilnadu. The pot culture experiments to examine the antagonistic effects of the individual and combined application of organic manures and antagonists (neem cake, FYM, neem cake + Trichoderma viride, Neem cake + P. fluorescens, FYM + T. viride and FYM + P. fluorescens), as well as biocontrol approaches. The result of the experiments both individual and combined application of soil showed significant influence on the plant growth, yield parameters and incidence of wilt cotton at the 90-day growth stage. The combined application of organic manures and antagonists (neem cake + Trichoderma viride, FYM + T. viride and FYM + P. fluorescens), as well as biocontrol approach responded with more significantly improved growth, yield and incidence of wilt cotton plant at the Kharif season of 2022 – 2023.
