Abstract
Background: A heterogeneous disease, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) is defined by asymmetrically distributed left ventricular hypertrophy and obstruction of the left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT). The objective of this investigation was to compare the outcomes of a proper septal myectomy in patients with HOCM.
