Aim: This article is oriented towards a bibliographical analysis of the topics related to the management, administration and administration of water resources, considering aspects such as how it has been configured in different latitudes, its current situation, as well as the challenges faced and future challenges. Theoretical framework: The most salient points in relation to the processes related to commercial management practices in relation to water resources are presented, considering the current situations in different locations, observing the problems, scope and processes achieved that have been merging the field of water resource management practices. Design/Methodology/Approach: A systematic analytical-descriptive review has been implemented based on the collection of research articles related to the administrative and management processes of water resources. Starting from a qualitative approach, the analysis and extraction of various articles from the last five years containing relevant information, derived from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ProQuest and Ebsco, were carried out. Results: The selection analysis carried out made it possible to establish positive processes regarding commercial water management such as specific spatial and temporal resolutions oriented towards the develop of consumption patterns, the adoption of sustainable and novel demand-side initiatives, as well as the identification of problems.
