Improving Student Wellness by Predicting Stress and Designing Coping Mechanisms with Decision Tree Algorithm

Abstract

This study adopts a mixed-methods approach integrating different demographic groups to understand and manage the stress levels of students. It attempts to pinpoint student stresses, analyse coping mechanisms, and gauge how well they work for various populations. In order to obtain information, the study uses questionnaires and statistical analysis. Based on the results, it provides helpful advice and coping strategies. It aims to educate academic institutions and mental health professionals leading to targeted interventions that support students academic success and overall wellbeing. The aim of this study is to ascertain students stress levels and assess how well coping strategies work to lower stress. The main biological reasons for the stress are the release of a high level of hormone called cortisol produced by the adrenal glands. Several strategies like having adequate sleep, healthy diet and regular exercises will help to manage the stress. The study will detect avoidance coping among students who live alone and will make the case that knowledge of coping mechanisms is critical to efficient stress management
