Cervical cancer (CC) is one of the leading cancers in women worldwide . The strategic increase in the frequency of occurrence of cervical cancer is a great challenge for clinical management. HPV infection is the primary cause for cervical cancer. The current therapeutic approaches and treatment methods like surgery, radiation, chemotherapy etc have many side effects. Phytochemicals are abundant in nature but underutilised, one Uncaria of them is Hirsutine, an indole alkaloid compound from proven to have anticancer activity.
