The imbalance between pro-oxidants and antioxidants in an organism leads to oxidative stress, which plays a significant role in the etiology of a number of degenerative illnesses, including cancer, Alzheimer's, arthritis, and cardiovascular diseases. Phytochemicals found in medicinal plants are used to treat a variety of ailments, including those associated with oxidative stress, because of their ease of use, low toxicity, and efficacy. In our present study, three extracts with different solvents like chloroform, methanol and aqueous extract of Pithecellobium dulce seeds have been evaluated for in vitro antioxidant activity using DPPH radical scavenging and superoxide anion radical scavenging assay, determination of superoxide dismutase (SOD), In-vitro cellular studies for neuroprotective abilities using Cell viability assessment, Cell based in-vitro cellular protective effect and examination of cellular morphology of SHSY5Y and Aβ_SHSY5Y cells over the treatment of various solvent extracts
