Mechanical ventilation is an example of technological innovations that have improved the quality of care for patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This paper examines how different ventilator modalities affect the duration of mechanical ventilation, duration of stay in the ICU, and mortality rates of patients. The purpose was to determine whether administering sound, advanced ventilation support systems of ASV or HFNC would yield better clinical results than the conventional methods. A prospective cohort study was carried out on 200 patients to collect data, the study showed that there was a statistically significant gmprsperspjo7 for the number of MV days mean ± SD: 4.5 ± 2.1 vs 6.8 ± 3.4 p < 0.01 and less ICU days 8.3 ± 1.9 vs 10.5 ± 2.6 p < 0.01 in the ASV and HFNC groups compared to routine practice. This study shows advanced ventilation methods can shorten the time to recovery of patients staying in ICU. An emphasis is placed on further investigating throughout the horizontally aimed strategies for mechanical ventilation to bring even more benefits to critically ill patients.
