Abstract

Background: Analyzing DNA sequences involves processing vast amounts of data, necessitating advanced computing methods and data modelling techniques. The aim is to accelerate computation and inference times while improving the reliability of analyses, thereby serving as a catalyst for scientific progress in biological research. Objective: The objective of the University of Technology's Systems Engineering and Computer Science program is to identify information technologies that can significantly advance biological science. This article focuses on examining computational methods that are instrumental in developing bioinformatics applications. Methods: The research employed a systematic approach to evaluate various computational methods used in bioinformatics applications. This involved reviewing existing literature, analyzing case studies, and consulting experts in the field. Key criteria such as computational efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and applicability to biological data were considered in the evaluation process.
