Background: Multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli, a significant threat to human health. Using lytic bacteriophages is a promising alternative to antibiotics for controlling pathogens. Objectives: The study aimed to identify and study the of lytic coliphages on native E. coli. The study aimed to investigate the effects of lytic coliphages on native E. coli. Methodology: Swage water samples were used for E. coli and coliphage isolation, confirmed using Gram staining and biochemical tests, and their antibacterial activity determined using the overlay Spot test method.
