Background: Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) are injuries to the musculoskeletal system occurring in the workplace, due to the environment, by repetitive motions like twisting, bending, lifting, crawling, pushing and pulling. It is caused due to the various risk factors, which result in conditions that vary across different occupations. The health care profession is also one such which has a high risk of developing WMSDs. Most of the previous studies focused on WMSDs among selected populations such as nurses, dentists, physical therapists and others. Operation theatre staffs are the group of people who work in operation theatre during surgical procedure and face physical challenges and demands during the surgery. Hence this study aimed to evaluate the common work- related musculoskeletal symptoms among them.
