This study seeks to establish the effectiveness of the One Health concept in addressing interrelated biological issues in people, animals and the environment. Here, the study assesses the effectiveness of the One Health initiatives as concerns disease control and prevention by reviewing case studies and data derived from different parts of the world. This preliminary analysis points on the need for enhanced One Health approaches, the areas with efficient One Health measures seeing 30% decrease in incidence rates and 25% increase in health values. The study uses statistical approaches and analysis like regression models to show that environmental factors have a positive effect on health (r = 0. 75); thus showing the efficiency of the approach. Some of these are the improved disease surveillance and control resulting from the interrelated interdisciplinary efforts. Therefore, the study stresses the significance of addressing environmental factors in much health care and is in favor of the effort to enhance One Health strategies to enhance global health security. The information in this paper can be used to expand the knowledge and necessity of the One Health in addressing more novel threats to public health.
