The global recognition of violence against women has led to a greater focus on this issue among researchers. Concerningly, violence against women is a multifaceted issue that affects all societal groups and cultures. The gender-based violence intensified prevailing inequalities across different countries. It has created numerous obstacles and challenges for our society, and increased problems like marginalisation and stigma. GBV and gender inequality affects all societies to differing degrees. The main psychological problems that have been linked to gender-based violence are anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia, frustration, and fear. This has a variety of effects on our psychological well-being. Helplessness and stereotypes from other people are more common among women. It needs to receive from the government the same attention as another crisis. Due to the marginalisation and discrimination, women are more likely to be victims of gender-based violence.
