Concrete is a basic building material used all over the world for constructions and large-scale projects. The constituents of concrete include sand, aggregate, cement, and water. In addition to these ingredients, the additive is utilized to improve the properties of concrete. Cement plays a major role in setting or hardening. Hardening is caused by hydration, which is the chemical reaction between cement and water. It is essential to adjust the pace of the setting procedure to account for the particular needs and weather conditions. Admixtures of chemicals are employed to accomplish this. As a result, chemical admixtures like retarders or accelerators can be used to change the initial setting time of cement. Chemical admixtures are frequently employed in construction projects to enhance the characteristics of concrete. Chemical admixtures, on the other hand, are hazardous to both the environment and human health. Sugarcane is entirely natural, harmless to humans, and has no adverse effects on the environment. This study examines how cement setting time is affected by the use of sugarcane juice and its by-products as bio-admixtures.
