Abstract

Batch conditions are used to remove crystal violet dye from activated carbon made from potato peels in an aqueous solution. Investigations were conducted into the effects of several parameters, including temperature, adsorbent dose, pH, contact duration, and starting dye concentration, on the adsorption of CV onto PP. The properties of the substance were determined using FTIR studies. Using the Langmuir, Freundlich method, the isotherm findings were examined. To fit the experimental data, linear regression was used. It was discovered that the Freundlich isotherm and the PP adsorption capacity (qe) effectively capture the equilibrium data. After using pseudo-first-order models to examine the kinetics of CV dye adsorption, it was discovered that the model adequately explained the CV dye's behavior
