The role of yoga in promoting holistic well-being and managing both psychological and physiological health conditions has been well documented in recent decades. This study examines the impact of yoga interventions, with and without OM chanting, on physiological parameters in boys diagnosed with intermittent explosive disorder (IED). Twelve week randomized controlled trial involved 45 boys aged between 14 to 17, divided into three groups: yoga with OM chanting, yoga-only, and a control group. The primary outcomes measured were low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and total cholesterol levels, key markers associated with cardiovascular and metabolic health. The results demonstrated significant improvements in lipid profiles among the intervention groups, with the yoga with OM chanting group exhibiting the most pronounced effects. These findings highlight the potential of integrating traditional yoga practices, including OM chanting, into therapeutic frameworks to enhance overall health outcomes in adolescents.
