Artificial intelligence (AI) has the capacity to profoundly revolutionize agriculture by enhancing production, sustainability, and efficiency. It has the potential to be utilized for the purpose of monitoring crops and doing predictive analytics, hence improving productivity and tackling issues such as population increase, climate change, and population expansion. Artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance resource allocation, accurately forecast agricultural yields, and effectively manage pest control. The studies provide insights into real-world applications of AI in agriculture, highlighting the challenges faced by farmers, including high initial costs, limited technological expertise, and concerns over data security. The literature review includes recent research and publications in Elsevier, Sage journals, BMC, PubMed, and several other pertinent journals were used to acquire the material. It was six months long, from February to July 2024, and it had material from 2015 to 2024 and discussions with AI experts. Despite these obstacles, AI has the potential to significantly increase production, sustainability, and efficiency in agriculture. To fully realize its potential, supportive legislation, education, and investments in AI infrastructure are needed. Future studies should focus on creating affordable AI systems and educational initiatives to address the knowledge gap among farmers. Overall, AI has the potential to revolutionize agriculture by enhancing productivity, sustainability, and efficiency.
