Through the alcohol strategies the UK government initiates ways to reduce the level of deaths, illness, diseases, injury connected with the consumption of alcohol. The study has the aim to critically “evaluate the effectiveness of alcohol strategy in the United Kingdom: A systematic review”. It becomes significant to note that in spite of the government’s several measures to reduce the impact, the perspectives of the population about the duty of the government to manage the alcohol trends remain different. The over consumption of alcohol has the ability to hamper the human mind as well as the body and a larger population in the UK consume harmful levels of alcohol. The literature review interprets different authors’ views to shed light on the impact of alcohol consumption in the UK. It has been identified that binge drinking results in both physical and mental problems. Furthermore, it has been observed that “cancer and liver problems” are commonly experienced by consumers of alcohol in the UK. Therefore, it is observed that the alcohol strategy has been undertaken by the government to mitigate “chronic alcoholism” among the UK population. However, the availability of alcohol encouraged both men and women in this nation to consume alcohol. Thus, it has been identified from the literature that the alcohol strategy and measure undertaken by the UK government has been challenged during the pandemic hours.
