Pradhan Mantri Jan-DhanYojana (PMJDY)- A national mission for financial inclusion, aims to guarantee affordable access to financial services, including banking, savings and deposit accounts, remittance, credit, insurance, and pensions. Since the launch of this program's in 2014, it has contributed significantly to the access of millions of people to financial services. The government's plan is essential to achieving mass financial inclusion and moving the country closer to inclusive growth. This paper attempts to examine the scheme in-depth, as well as the role of PMJDY as a tool of financial inclusion.
