Abstract

Introduction: Anterior bridge plating using a minimally invasive technique for type A humeral shaft fractures has been described by several authors as a less traumatic and reproducible procedure. We assessed the clinical, radiological, and functional outcomes of this technique in twenty five patients, all of whom were treated with a dynamic compression plate and followed up for an average of 6 months. Although open reduction and plating remains a common approach for humeral shaft fractures, this minimally invasive technique also demonstrates favorable results.
