Introduction: Bruxism, a repetitive jaw-muscle activity, and temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), involving masticatory muscles and temporomandibular joints, present complex clinical challenges. While their co-occurrence is recognized, their causal relationship and risk factors remain.underexplored. Objective: To evaluate the association between bruxism and TMDs through a case-control study, emphasizing novel insights into their potential interaction and clinical implications. Results: Statistically significant correlations were found between bruxism and TMDs. Subjects with bruxism exhibited higher pain scores (mean 5.4 ± 1.2) compared to controls (mean 2.3 ± 0.8, p < 0.001). Joint noise and restricted movement were prevalent in the bruxism group (78% vs. 34% in controls, p < 0.01). Logistic regression revealed bruxism as an independent predictor of TMDs,(OR=3.8,95%CI:,2.4–6.1). Discussion and Conclusion: The findings underscore bruxism as a significant risk factor for TMDs, offering valuable insights for early diagnosis and management strategies. This study introduces a novel perspective on the interactive dynamics of these conditions and highlights the need for integrative treatment approaches
