Abstract

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition in women of reproductive age associated with reproductive and metabolic dysfunction, typically characterized by anovulation, infertility, insulin resistance, and polycystic ovaries., often associated with obesity and dyslipidemia. The single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs9939609 in the FTO gene has been implicated in obesity. This study aims to investigate the association between rs9939609 genotyping and lipid profile parameters in PCOS patients, highlighting the increased risk of obesity in these women
