The linking between the geological, hydroclimatic, and hydrochemical tools in the study of the effects of the central gas turbine of F'kirina on groundwater has allowed us to determine the origins and evolution of pollutants. The analysis of the physico chemical quality has focused on 14 samples of drilling and wells in the coring exploited in the region, used for human consumption. The study on groundwater quality shows that the majority of tested physicochemical parameters show high concentrations according to potability standards eligible by the WHO. This might be because of three types of water pollution: natural, caused by the dissolution of evaporated formations and carbonate, which results in high concentrations of Cl-, Na+, SO42-, Ca2+, and HCO3-, agricultural, caused by the heavy use of chemical fertilizers; and industrial, caused by the operation of the local gas turbine plant that produces electricity. To this effect, the continuous assessment of the quality of the water is considered a treatment to reduce the deterioration of the quality of the water and eliminate health problems.
