Abstract

The integration of Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology has revolutionized dental implantology, enhancing precision, customization, and clinical outcomes. CAD/CAM systems enable the precise digital design and consistent fabrication of dental implants, tailored to each patient’s anatomy. Key surface features such as microgrooves and texture modifications, engineered through CAD/CAM, are critical for promoting tissue integration, particularly osseointegration, where bone securely adheres to the implant. This article explores the role of CAD/CAM technology in implant design, emphasizing the relationship between implant surface characteristics and successful tissue integration. The combination of advanced digital design and optimized biological compatibility promises improved implant stability, durability, and patient satisfaction.
