Abstract

Chemiresistive sensors, particularly those based on conducting polymer nanocomposites, have gained significant attention due to their potential applications in various fields such as environmental monitoring, healthcare, and industrial safety. This paper provides an overview of the current state-of the-art in conducting polymer nanocomposites for chemiresistive sensor applications. It discusses the fundamental principles behind the operation of chemiresistive sensors, the advantages of using conducting polymer nanocomposites, and recent advancements in material synthesis and sensor fabrication techniques. Additionally, this paper explores the challenges and future prospects of utilizing conducting polymer nanocomposites in developing highly sensitive, selective, and reliable chemiresistive sensors.
