As a subset of High-Tech Agriculture, smart farms gather vast amounts of data from IoT devices regarding the state of the environment, plants, and animals. Most of the time, these data are kept on hand and are not utilised by intelligent systems for monitoring to give farmers the chance to extract useful information. A secure and effective system for managing information for chicken farming was created with the goal of eliminating bottleneck issues related to various farm sizes, low profitability, and outdated information management in India. Several facets of human existence are currently being shaped by Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. One paradigm that can leverage the benefits of the Internet of Things to maximise crop quality, reduce adverse environmental effects, and improve production efficiency and consistency across agricultural areas is precision agriculture. Almost every industry has seen a change due to the rapid spread of IoT-based science and technology, including agriculture, which has transitioned from statistics to quantitative methods. In a situation of numerous obstacles, such significant changes are changing conventional farming methods and creating new opportunities. Farmers can now keep an eye on the health of their crops in real time thanks to the opportunities that have been created. To further emphasise the need for smart agriculture, we present a low-cost, cloud enabled sensitised IoT platform that can automate tasks related to a tomato plantations in an indoor environment.
