Abstract

This article presents the results of developing a diagram for a small-sized resource-saving drum dryer and substantiating its main parameters using theoretical studies. A drum cotton dryer, which consists of an electric motor with a gearbox, a coupling, a cylindrical shaft connecting roller mechanisms mounted on brackets using a bearing housing has been developed. Theoretical studies have determined the minimum angle of support rollers relative to the vertical axis of the drum, which must be at least 110° to ensure a margin of stability. Calculations have established that for a drum with a diameter of 2 meters, the recommended roller diameter should be at least 150 mm.
