Effect of Integrated Nutrient Management on Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.)

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at “Effect of integrated nutrient management. on growth, yield and quality of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.)” conducted during rabi 2022-23 at Research farm, Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur on loamy sand soil. The experiment.consisting nine levels of integrated nutrient management PSB+FYM (20 t/ha, Azotobacter + FYM 20 t/ha, Azotobacter + PSB + FYM 20 t/ha, Vermicompost 5 t/ha + FYM 10 t/ha, PSB + Azotobacter + Vermicompost 10 t/ha, Goat manure 10 t/ha + Azotobacter + OSB, Goat manure 5 t/ha + Azotobacter + PSB + PSB + Vermicompost 5 t/ha, Goat manure 5 t/ha + Azotobacter + PSB + Vermicompost 5 t/ha + FYM 10 t/ha and Control. The total 9 treatment combinations were tested in randomized block design with three replications. Results revealed that Goat manure 5 t/ha + Azotobacter + PSB+ Vermicompost 5 t/ha + FYM 10 t/ha to the tomato crop significantly increased the yield attributes (Cluster /branch, flowers/cluster, fruit diameter and fruit yield/plant, tomato yield. and economical gain/ha as compared to control. PSB + Azotobacter + Vermicompost 10 t/ha, Goat manure .10 t/ha + Azotobacter + PSB, Goat manure 5 t/ha + Azotobacter + PSB+ Vermicompost 5 t/ha and Goat manure 5 t/ha + Azotobacter + PSB+ Vermicompost 5 t/ha + FYM 10 t/ha recorded equally higher yield attributes Cluster/branch, flowers/cluster, fruit diameter and fruit yield/plant, tomato yield, quality parameters. and economical gain/ha. The maximum tomato yield ranged from 18.45 to 381.20 q/ha and net income Rs. 134400 to Rs. 138150/ha.
