Abstract

The study titled "Impact of Mindfulness Meditation on Job Stress, Work-Life Balance, and Resilience among Health care Professionals" explores the effectiveness of mindfulness meditation on job stress, work-life balance, and resilience among healthcare workers in Kerala. The study employed a pre-test/post test experimental design. The participants consisted of 36 healthcare professionals from both public and private sectors selected using multistage cluster sampling method. Participants underwent an eight-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, attending weekly two-hour group sessions led by a certified instructor. The Parker Job Stress Scale (PJSS), Work-Life Balance Scale (WLBS), and Brief Resilience Scale (BRS) were administered to collect data. The data were analysed using the statistical software EDUSTAT. The paired samples t-test analysis revealed significant reduction in job stress, improvement in work-life balance and enhanced resilience. These findings suggest that mindfulness meditation is a valuable tool for reducing job stress and enhancing work-life balance and resilience among healthcare professionals.
