Background: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a successful surgical procedure for knee osteoarthritis, but post-operative rehabilitation is crucial for optimal outcome. Exercise programs are essential, but the ideal timing of initiation remains debated. This study investigated the effects of a pre-operative and post-operative exercise program compared to a post-operative program alone on functional outcome after TKA in eastern Odisha, India.
