Abstract

The use of electric vehicles (EVs) in logistics poses significant challenges and offers promising prospects for sustainable transportation. This study explores the operational challenges, government incentives, and cost effectiveness comparisons between electric vehicles (EVs) and conventional vehicles. Several challenges have been identified, including concerns about infrastructure readiness, the initial costs involved, limitations in range, and uncertainties surrounding regulations. Statistical analyses emphasise the crucial impact of government incentives on shaping EV adoption choices. Gaining insights into logistics stakeholders' perspectives can be valuable by understanding cost-effectiveness and key performance indicators (KPIs). Strategic recommendations involve specific policy interventions, thorough cost-benefit analyses, and collaborative efforts to address obstacles to adoption and improve the integration of electric vehicles. This study seeks to contribute to the field of sustainable logistics by offering practical insights and supporting evidence for the effective and eco-friendly integration of electric vehicles.
