In this paper, I present a detail inventory of the medicinal flora of Port Blair Municipal Corporation, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Inventorization of Medicinal Flora in and around Port Blair District- South Andaman (Andaman and Nicobar Islands)”, funded by the University Grant Commission, SERO, Hyderabad. Floristic accounts published earlier were the major source of data. Historical records India, which was produced within the project “Survey and were critically reviewed and integrated with recent literature, data from herbaria and some unpublished information, so as to get a complete, updated catalogue of the medicinal flora confirmed with the field visits which occurs in and around Port Blair. The inventory comprises of 503 species which account for around 20% of all the higher plants of Andaman and Nicobar Islands reported yet.
