Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) poses a substantial health risk in the treatment of infectious diseases. Carbapenems were previously utilised as a last option for treating MDR Gram-negative bacteria infections. A. baumannii has lately exhibited an increase in carbapenem resistance. The bulk of carbapenem resistance mechanisms in A. baumannii are caused by enzyme breakdown by -lactamases. AIM AND OBJECTIVES: To Study the Molecular characterization of OXA -23 gene and blaIMP gene in invasive carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii in ICU patients
